Follows the story of a mother and son who travel to reunite at the Mexico-US border after decades apart. Production took place during the summer and fall of 2020 in both countries on location. The project aims to tell a more personal, human story amongst the many narratives surrounding immigration.

THE ACCESSIBLE OUTDOORS

Focuses on access to the outdoors for people with disabilities through the lens of the importance of nature connection in general. Interviews a variety of wheelchair users, activists, and nature enthusiasts including Judy Heumann, disability rights advisor for the Obama administration, and Richard Louv, writer of the seminal book Last Child in the Woods.

MOTHER OF CHERNOBYL

UCSB - junior year
A 30 minute short film telling the story of Masha, a woman living in the Chernobyl zone after the disaster. Although fictional, it highlights the very real sacrifices made by people in the aftermath of Chernobyl. The film was produced from start to finish in just 9 weeks as part of an environmental media course at UC Santa Barbara.
The film won several awards in festivals, including Best Student Film at the Hollywood Independent Filmmaker Awards, Swindon Independent Film Festival, and the Russian International Horror Festival.
